I have a lot of boyfriends!!!

Before you go into a shocked silence which is sure to ensue such a profound statement, I guess I better elaborate further. I am just talking of all of my friends who are a part of the male population which can be from one of my favorite sixty year old uncle to my nephew who is 3 years old. I cherish each one of those friendships, especially since all my guy friends are those no nonsense and loyal characters whose friendships I would never ever exchange for anything else in this world.

It was that day of the year when senior executives were visiting from the other side of the globe. Carpets were being shampooed and vaccumed, floors were being scrubbed, plants were being arranged with the pots scrubbed till they shone .. The tables were all polished and it was impossible to find a single speck of dust over the monitors or the processors. … All the employees dressed in the best of their clothes that week and the shoes of everyone shone and the shirts were all pressed properly. Jane sat on the cold bench in the park totally oblivious to the world around her. Not that there was anyone around to see her.

It hurts so much most of time and she was wondering whether the pain will ever stop or even reduce. There was nothing which she could see waiting for her in the apartment and she knew that the four walls would crowd her the minute she entered it. She wanted a breath of fresh air and to be away from the familiar walls with the familiar photographs of friends and family hanging of the walls. Alone in the city which had been her home for the past 5 years, at times she still felt the memories haunting her. She had started running 5 years back and despite shifting cities and homes multiple times, he always hunted her down. For him it was more the fun of the chase and the satisfaction of seeing her run than anything else. Read on »
